Tech Summit Ogun is the largest convergence of Tech- disruptors, innovators, startups, organizations, and technology enthusiasts in Ogun State; targeted at creating an awakening, spurring Technological Innovation, availing attendees partnership and investment opportunities with the overall goal of the collaboration towards the Digital Transformation and Technological Advancement of Ogun State.

Riding on the awakening of the Tech Ecosystem in Ogun State and outcomes of the maiden TechSummitOgun 2018 and sequel in 2019, the State has since been experiencing the birth of initiatives, startups, and businesses leveraging technology to solve socio-economic problems.

TechSummitOgun was held in Abeokuta on the 18th of January, 2018. Tech Summit Ogun is an innovative event that looked into how technology could help improve the welfare and standard of living of people in Ogun State. Tech summit Ogun was themed “disruptive innovations: where are we?” This theme headline was put in place in other to address the issues around digital innovation in Ogun state.

More than 1,600 attendees were present among them were organizational and future disruptors. At the summit, solutions were discussed on how to drive digital innovations and growth from the early-stage phase of technological innovation.

Among the solutions discussed the speakers at the summit addressed topics such as innovation and start- ups, education, innovation, and financing as well as innovation and digital media.

The speakers present at the event include Bosun Tijani of CcHub, Seni Sulyman of Andela, Kola Aina of Ventures Platforms, Tolu Ogunlesi, and others.

Tech Summit Ogun 2019, “Disruptive Innovation: Impact and Sustainability of Startups” focuses on the discovery, impact assessment, promotion, opportunities for scalability, and sustainability of startups in Ogun State. Businesses, startups, and other social entrepreneurs were birthed as a result of the Tech Summit Ogun project; all now contributing to the advancement of the state’s economy as well as crafting the narrative of the Digital Inclusion of the state to join the league of tech-enabled communities in Nigeria.

Tech Summit Ogun 2019 was a 2-day Conference and Exhibition format which hosted 3,000+ Tech disruptors, innovators, startups, organizations, and technology enthusiasts; featuring twenty (20) Seasoned Speakers who were carefully selected and categorized under four (4) Themes namely:

Leveraging on new tech.

With the global Covid-19 pandemic causing unprecedented disruption to all industries around the world, the need to engage, communicate and expand in every sector has perhaps never been so necessary as even the world’s greatest businesses and economies struggle to survive what may be the next great economic depression.

The Bees Nigeria in partnership with Tech Summit Ogun came together to organize a conference that basically encompasses a world where everything, ranging from the corporate sector or business trends to remote and creative communities goes digital.

The virtual conference encompasses 3 sessions with the following topics:

  • Session 1/Day 1 – Utilizing new Technology to Thrive in the Creative Industry
  • Session 2/Day 2 – Remote Working: What the Future Holds
  • Session 3/Day 3 – Building a resilient Supply Chain Management

Each session lasted for 1 hour with 40 minutes allotted for each session and 20 minutes allocated for the Q/A session.
